Jung’s quote does not mean what we find irritates about other people have to do with those things we do ourselves. I take the quote to mean that when we find ourselves irritated about a situation it, those feelings can show us a lot about who we are. For instance, I live with my brother and sister and I find that when they do something that irritates me I start doubting my decision to let them stay with me. It doesn’t matter what they did, it’s about how I feel internally about the situation. I learn that I’m quick to doubt when I’m irritated about something I chose to do.

Thanks for the comments Brent/Dad. Living debt free has brought so much peace and freedom to our lives. We wouldn't have it any other way the rest of our lives. I'm glad we learned this lesson while young.
